The art was part of a *huge* mural that covered one massive wall - all gone now, of course, since the place burned down.

LOL! It was considered very much the thing at the time - it got us a spot on a BBC documentary on the 'new Merseybeat' (as they were calling it). It was very different from the very graphics-heavy art that was 'in' - different and attention grabbing. It's an illustration from Chatterbox; a 1936 children's annual.
