And I'm tapping away here; I'm taking a break from the 'real' (ha!) writing today in favour of the delicious and wickedly tempting, twinkling, barbie-pink, vanilla-sugar world of fic. Just got a bit of one WIP up and am working on another.

It's awfully quiet out there; a bit like the LJ version of cup-final day. I hope you're all enjoying DH. For me, it's a bit like being Orthodox at Christmas - I never could get into HP.

I haven't decided yet, if I'm doing chat tonight. It's the last episode of Rome... Poor Mark Anthony. My, but his mascara will run tonight, and with good reason. Unless the writers decide to get really brave and let him win instead. Unlikely (she sighed, sadly. I would love to see him stick it to that bloody little prig Octavian, but this is the trouble with historical dramas, isn't it? Very few surprises.::G::)

But also, the eppy up for discussion tonight is S2-2 - I've never been fond. S2, is great, despite the tearing angst. I love S2, but S2-2 is a mess, IMO, with OOC Jim and weird plot turns that make no sense. Heck, it's forced me to write a three-part epic just to work through my feelings about it. (o:

- Which I should get back to. I've left the boys holding hands in Starbucks, I hope they've not got up to anything naughty while I've been gone.

Have a lovely Sunday, my lovelies. Enjoy your book.

I've been reading but not HP - another grown up fantasy series though.

My HP is on order, but I haven't been to collect it - don't want to be trampled, and have been avoiding spoilers all over the place although I know someone at work will blurt it out. They're like that.

I oo have been reading all weekend and yes, it's Jim and Blair! Loads of it. Including yours and I have to say I do agree with Jim... :o)

And I'm hoping J&B are having a fun time in Starbucks while your back is turned!

ooh look, it's raining. Just for a change.
::rolls eyes::

I think your position on HP is sensible and sane - though you will be spoiled, you know. I see no way aroud it.

"and I have to say I do agree with Jim... :o)"
Ah... you know it's going to end badly. It was sold as a 'tale of high angst' - would I lie? (o:

"And I'm hoping J&B are having a fun time in Starbucks while your back is turned!"
Urm, that would be a 'no' ::G:: No, angst abounds there, too. I've been on a bot of a roll this afternoon. ::giggle::

It's raining here too! Amazing... :-D

I'm sure it will be 'spoiled' too, but I can try.

you know it's going to end badly. It was sold as a 'tale of high angst'
I should hope so too! I am ebil, I know.

angst abounds there, too
Yes!
::does happy dance::
Did I say I was ebil?

Yay!Good to hear you are writing Jim and Blair again.

Yes, the final episode of Rome. *Sigh* Dastardly deeds and nefarious purpose abound... Well, how about writing the ending you want? Hmmm? *G* I'd read it.

Have fun!

Oh, I'm always writing Jim and Blair, hon; just try and stop me. I've written three chapters of high angst today so I'm well content.

There's nothing wrong with a little tinkering with history for the general good. Just think - no Octavian = no Caligula, no Nero...

Yay, writing good...I promise to get caught up on both rainbows and the academy fic tomorrow...

We only watched part one of S2 tonight in chat; we got a bit of a late start, and then it was getting late...so we're doing part two next week...so you may want to avoid chat next week as well. *g* Although if this week was any indication, there will be much discussion of OOCness and bent plotting...:-)

Heh heh heh. I'll see how I feel. TBH, I'm still quite tired and have an awful cough, and I wanted to give Rome my full attention - I don't have the strength for multi tasking right now. (o:

I'll see how I feel next week... So, did you manage to get into room 2, or was it #1? I've always preferred 1, it's faster and rarely crashes, it's just the 10-people-only thing that's a problem imo.

I'm hoping to test drive some new chat rooms this week; if I find a good one I'll install it and take the old one down.

It was chat room 1; 2 wasn't working at all. There were only six of us or so; TW had some computer problems and had to leave early. Otherwise it was great. I like that room, too...I wish we could make it just a little bigger - we've had up to 15 people in the chat at a time.
