Welcome to my perfumed garden

Been internetless since yesterday evening; what a horror. It's sort of fixed now, but we're not sure why - the phones went off, too, so it must (unless it was some improbably massive coincidence) have been connected to that, but on further delving this morning, Mark found that the DNS numbers weren't being automatically assigned as per - we had to key them in manually, and now all is well again and the phones are back on, too. Very, very odd and something to do (I suspect) with a fall in voltage on our crap 1950's phone lines  - but after a morning of major buggering with wires and moving sofas and tables and knick knacks and knocking the Sky signal out in the process and having to repair that... (sigh) tis on again. What a relief.

But in between said buggering about, I got another 1200 words of one of my WIPs written, so the morning wasn't entirely wasted.

So, I'm just catching up with emails and LJ and then I have to clean the house, for yeah, verily, it is a tip - especially behind that sofa... man!
