I'm shattered.

Yesterday's gardening blitz was deeply satisfying and I got so much done but it's nothing like finished (not even close)and today has dawned, as predicted (thanks beeb) wet. The rain's hammering down out there. Nothing more is going to get done this visit.

yay!

For verily, I am broken in several places; shagged, buggered, knackered - almost (if not quite) killed. I have painful weeping blisters on my right hand and said hand seems to have seized in a strange way, like its skin has shrunk.  It's a day for drinking tea, eating crumpets, reading books and writing fic, I think.

I hope everyone had a happy July Fourth. I had a rather enjoyable evening myself, drinking a very pleasant Chilean white (£2.22 from Lidl! Brilliant!) and watching Oz and James' Big Gay Californian Wine Adventure and the Top Gear African special (Oliver!!!) on the DVD.

Happy Weekend Flist! Doctor Who tonght.... I don't know whether to meep! or squee. *g*

The gardeners lot is a sorry one. ::sigh:: I'm blistered, cold, very, very wet, fingernails embedded with dirt to last a lifetime, but at the end of day satisfied with my huge accomplishment. Time for a bubble bath, glass of red and a roaring fire. :0)

It wasn't really pretty here yesterday so we did a Top Gear marathon with our BBQ! Epis 1-6 of season 10

Hope the news didn't spoil your enjoyment of your evening. *g*

It's just James and Richard's agents spoiling for a fight, I shouldn't worry. Interestingly, it even made the *news* last night. Apparently Jezza gets a million a year, Hamster and Capn' Slow only £15G n eppy. That is a BIG discrepancy. The show is about three guys, not one and his sidekicks - so I see why they're so pissed off.

I'm watching TG right now, aamof, on BBC3 - the Hugh Grant ep. And thanks so much for taking my mind off the Who-finale misery. It's the calmest I've felt since the credits rolled a hour ago. *g*

I actually haven't watched the last two epis of DW that are sitting on my computer.
I am however happily grabbing series 9 and the polar adv of TG.

I can't image them leaving but I guess the show was on for years before they came on and would continue, but i don't know how invested I'd be in it without them.

I think a LOT of people would. I think the BBC know that, too. I'm certain Hammond and May (and their agents) know it. *g*

Ah. Who... No spoilers, obviously but - maybe you'll love it? Most of the sen-fen on my flist did. It seems it's only long-time Who-heads who're insane with rage about it.
