And good riddance.

It's been a long time since a show made me that angry. A pity, I was really enjoying it till the last 15 minutes. What a load of big, hairy, pendulous bollocks.

ETA. And on watching it some more via Confidential... They have destroyed everything I loved about the show. This is what happens when they let soap writers loose on the precious things of the shop. The way I feel right now; Gods, I think I'll never watch this show again. I really am that angry.

ETA2: And Who-folk are pretty much to a woman and a man agreeing with me. Thank all the Gods for that; I was starting to feel really lonely there for a bit.

Ah...  Fuck. I'm off to watch Genesis of the Daleks, I need some quality - some real - Who to take the nasty taste of Rusty's crappy, lazy writing away. Gods. How can a bloody TV show make me so angry! ::is cross with self. Tells self to get a life and shut it. Self ignores advice and continues to boil with an unquenchable rage::
Mood:: 'grumpy' grumpy
location: Watching Confidential, god help me.

Twas bollocks, wasn't it? And not even le bollocks of the dog. Just plain old bollocks.
Still, does anyone over the age of 15 excpect anything more from a Russell T finale these days?

My flist thought it was great. Go figure. And now I'm regretting quitting all the Who-coms because it seems that only there is sensible opinion to be found. *g*

I'm still angry. Daft, I know but there it is, I just can't help myself.

(Oh Donna! Donna! Donna!)

I feel cheated that Donna's out of the show and ... I just don't care about it. Catherine Tate spent the whole season making me love the character, then Russell T disposes of her with a bit of technobabble nonsense.
'She can never even think of me or her brain will explode!'
Egotistical, much?

It seems my rage is located on the side of my neck, just above the collar bone, on my left. It's all red and angry and itchy. Who knew (no pun intended)?

I have to say the idle shrugging off of the regeneration made me laugh out loud. It was so predictable and expected. The disposal of Donna was... WORSE, by FAR than I'd imagined. It was like she was nothing, a snotty tissue to flush away. Rose is all and Donna can just fuck off and the lazy, stupid, unimaginative, *crappy* writing...

Oh dear, my neck has gone mental again. This is a new and strange phenomenon...

The whole of your flist did *not* think it was great. Speaking for myself, it was shallow and unconvincing, to say nothing of corny and unnecessarily nostalgic, to say nothing of coming dangerously close to breaking the fourth wall.

That is all.

because most of my closest friends seemed to think it was wonderful. I was feeling awfully lonely until I started to delve into the comms, so I'm pleased to see another joining the disrespecters. *g*

I've cooled down a lot now and I've tried (twice) to write a rational critique but - I can't because it was just the most awful bollocks wasn't it? And shallow, yeah, you hit that nail squarely on its rusty little head (snerk. You see what I did there? ::titter::). I mean - the business with Rose infuriated me for all the obvious reasons but now I've had time to think about it a little, I've *even angrier* because it's so disrespectful of *Rose*!

RTDs obsession with Rose and the Doctor/Rose twoo love emo rubish really got on my nerves this year (to the point where I was praying for RTD to finish her off to save us from the grief) but even I wouldn't wish that fate on the poor girl. Is Rusty so shallow that he thinks - she can't have the real thing so let's create a substitute, a clone who looks exactly like the Doctor - the equivalent of leaving the girl waiting at the altar while her groom, who's changed his mind, substitutes his identical twin brother. 'He looks exactly like me so THAT'S ALRIGHT THEN'.

Not only is he NOT the man she apparently loves, he's half Donna! With a healthy helping of Donna's personality. It wouldn't last a week. (o:

I actually hoped (dangerous, I know. Will I never learn?) they were going to do something spectacular and exciting by merging the Doctor-Donna to create a new, 2 hearted Timelord. But no, Uncle R went for the obvious, dreary, Mary-Sue option instead and made me want to rip his smug face off with a blunt knife.

And let's not even start on the hideous fate doled out to Donna. Poor Donna, best companion in decades - she does not deserve that.

So... Did I mention that I hated it (because I did)? (o:

It would be good to re-visit them in about 2010, see how they're getting on.

Heh. HandDoc. ::snerk::
