You've made me question my own cliché.
I have a touch of synaesthesia so I do tend to mix things up a little, not so much in RL as in writing, which always came in handy when looking for descriptives for Jim in my TS fic. But the rainbow analogies became a bit of a cliché in a fic series I wrote so that's me having a joke - that no one else will get - at my own expense about my own cliché...
