Where I spent a most pleasant long weekend at
fluterbev 's from whence we all drove down to Liverpool to get picked up by drunken Irishmen have dinner with Garett.
I can't say more right now as I'm feeling very poorly sick and about to get into bed, but words and pictures should be forthcoming just as soon as I can raise the energy.
In the meantime,
fluterbev ,
fingers and I have committed fic. Jim has Flu. Only Blair can heal him.

Hope you feel better soon!
And I adore the fic, btw :)
Hey baby!
It was wonderful, wasn't it? Even better than last time, we should do it more often.
I'm glad you like the fic *g* Half an hour well spent I think. *g*
Re: Hey baby!
Oh god! I am never going to live this down, am I?
Yup, home safe 'n' sound and early to boot! Had a smooth journey home, which was nice, but am knackered!
Hope you're feeling a bit brighter now! And, yes, it was utterly wonderful. Despite leaving me with that massive shovel and letting me run away with my mouth and dig and dig and dig, I still had a marvelous time and was beyond glad you all turned up! It wouldn't have been the same without you all!
::hugs::
And we most definitely have to do it more often! Luckily I have honestly marvellously managed to blank out what I am sure were the most heinously embarrassing bits!
::grins::
Oh, it was half an hour exceedingly well spent indeed! Funny, funny, funny fic :)
Re: Oh, hey!
Did he take pictures?
I so want to do it again. We were talking about a fan-gathering in a cabin in the woods. would you be up for that?
Re: Oh, hey!
Just got my fingers crossed I wasn't too annoying to the other tables as I can get a bit loud when I'm tipsy and bouncing like that.
Apparently he did! Rae and Sue C both said so. As did the man himself. Repeatedly.
Oh, fan-gathering! Yay! I would most definitely be up for that but it depends when and where, especially as I don't drive so would need to rely on good ole' public transport.
Re: Fan gathering
I'm sure you weren't the least bit annoying - no more than any of the rest of us, anyway (we were getting some very frosty looks at one point). Really, it was just hilariously funny and Garett was enjoying it hugely if the expression on his face on my pictures is anything to go by. *g*
Re: Fan gathering
I think we were all rather 'naughty' and not exactly quiet. I know it wasn't just me. From my hazy recollections, with one or two exceptions, it was more or less kept to our table though.
Hope the frosty looks weren't too awful :( Thankfully I was oblivious to them all! But we were there to enjoy ourselves just as much as anyone else and as long as no one was hurt and no rules broken (by us!) no harm done. And, given what Rae said to me, I don't think any of those were from her (I hope!). She said he'd told her he had a very amusing evening. Glad I didn't annoy him either! Sue C and GM kept on coming out with all these things I apparently said that I don't remember on Sunday. My memories are more of someone else saying them so I probably hideously kept repeating things :(
A few pics I have of him earlier in the evening certainly say the same thing, that he seemed to having fun with us. I hope that kept up the rest of the evening and seeing he didn't leave until so very late, one can presume he did!
If you've still got 'company' coming over tomorrow, I hope you feel much improved and get a good night's rest. I hope that anyway but even more so if you're going to be entertaining!
Re: Hope the frosty looks weren't too awful
And as you say, if he wasn;t having fun, why stay till 1.30?
(Any chance of telling me what he said on Sunday, or is it too hideously embarrassing?)
Re: Hope the frosty looks weren't too awful
Sunday was basically quite a few teasing jibes at me - numerous references to 'just grape juice', 'proper' football, being under tables etc. along with a reference to me threatening his feet and so on and so forth ::sighs:: Not too sure how many times I heard the former two. It was fairly frequently. And then there were the stares... The loooooooooooooooong stares.... Even as he was putting his jacket on to leave us all ::sniffs:: Oh, and the look I got at the autograph table! And Sue/Sioux as well! That's when all the photographic evidence got confirmed and came to light! I was really hoping I'd misremembered that!
I would have offered him a hug when he kept demanding / wondering where his present was when I gave the flowers to Rae and then Gerri and finally Janet at the end but I still 'hate him' ;) And would have been far too embarrassed to do so anyway, but the thought was there :)
Note to self for next time: Get Garett a spoof card and spoof little pressie, though someone else can present these as I found it difficult enough just to be up in front of us all to hand over the flowers and cards to the gals!

do you know when *that* fic will be posted?
*snort*
N'aw...it was cute and funny and one of you must've been sober enough to type it up, because I didn't notice any typo's...how did that happen??
do you know when *that* fic will be posted?
Well, it was written at about 1pm on Sunday afternoon. Even we're usually still sober on a sunday afternoon. ;o)
