It didn't snow much, just an inch or two, but then it froze- really hard, and made life difficult, but pretty. I took these at two-thirty pm, just as the sun was setting.

My favourite weather. I love the colours in the sky this time of year.

The hills in the distance are the snow-covered Derbyshire Peaks

Beautiful! Especially the third one - conversation between autumn and winter :-)

It's lovely. It was lovelier still a few days a go when we had a tremendously heavy frost with low mists but I kissed the pictures that time.

I love this time of year. I'm definately a winter-type person.

The pictures are beautiful! Looks like it was not fun to walk around in.

Or drive on, since our beloved local authorities hadn't gritted anything but the major roads. I live on a very narrow road - barely one car wide - with cars parked all down one side and a wall the other - covered in a thick sheet of ice. Such larks. ::she said, sweating and breathing hard::

Oh, it's beautiful! It very rarely snows at all where I live. I find snowscapes just fascinating!

LOL

Snowscapes are adorable so long as you don;t have to move around in them, especially when it frweezes and turns everything in to solid sheets of ice! :o(

Glad you liked the pictures, I've always enjoyed yours.

Oh, lovely! Nice pics!

The snow hasn't made it as far as Preston yet, but I think it'll probably hit tonight.

O:!

Did you get that snow last night? The wind! ::meep!::

It's all melting now, though. Hey ho.

Nope, not a thing. It rained instead, though that just means that the pavements on the way to work are a stable surface rather than a deathtrap waiting to happen. Which is good, really.

It's raining here now, too. Last night's heavy snow is all grey and mushy now. :o(

As I recall, it was pissing down with rain and there was fog and the moors had turned to bogs and it was thoroughly and utterly vile! I don't think you missed much, sweetheart. It's a real shame the weather was so awful when you were here and everyone was sick. Put a massive damper on all my plans I can tell you.

Next time, maybe. ;o)

I'm glad you like them.

We had a tremendous snowstorm last night but unfortunately, it's warmed up overnight and turned it all to grey, hideous slush. I was looking forward to a walk in it. :o(

Usually I am totally jealous that you have had snow - but not today! We have our own ::buffs nails::
It has finally stopped snowing, not sure what's happening with the roads yet though...
