All walls have been sanded and washed.
Skirting boards, doorframes, window frame and ledge - all freshly painted, glossy and white.
More sticky damp-proof gunk has been painted on the outside wall.
A coat of Dulux 'Picket Fence' (aka 'cream') has been slapped on the two walls that were ready for it (every time I look at that paint-job now, I'll be thinking of Torchwood. I hope those of you who're into Torchie caught the afternoon play on Radio 4 this afternoon, or are you all podcasting it?)
Tomorrow, we put the final coats of paint on and - we're done. Yay. ::waves fist in air in a slightly tired and half-hearted fashion:: We need to buy new curtains to match the new walls and eventually, a new carpet (but we're putting up with the tatty, stained ones for now, buying all-new carpets when we're ready to sell.
We're almost at the station. One more day to go. An electrician is (hopefully - you know how it is) coming on Friday to sort out the dodgy switches so we can fit the new lights and replace the furniture.
All showered and shiny, I have a glass of red in my still slightly paint-stained hand, chilli's cooking gently downstairs, there's an IT Crowd DVD keyed up and ready to go...
::is feeling tired - but virtuous::
