Woke up stupidly early after a night of disturbing dreams. I've had me work out, showered, made the bed...

Urm. That's it. I have a thousand things to do; need to clean the kitchen, go for a run, write a chapter of fic, add some words to the novel, so much to do in the garden it's not true and the weather looks distinctly dangerous. Which is why, I suppose,  I'm sitting on my arse, browsing LJ, drinking coffee, eating cheese and pears and listening to the radio (Neil Gaiman! on Jonathan Ross today peoples!)

Oh dear.

What a shame

Never mind.

Hey Jonathan Ross is playing the Eurovision hopefuls, the sun is shining through the billowing, thickening, darkly threatening clouds, next-door's cat is here life, is short and the coffee is good. Oh. Was that ours then? Meh. Sounds exactly like 10000 other songs. How tedious, that's never going to win. And Sweden's is the favourite? Sounds like Scott-Aitken-Waterman on helium. Bloody hell, that's awful!

What are you all doing today my babies? You're very quiet, don't tell me you've all moved over to the Place that Dare not Speak its Name? Or, worse - found lives O:! *G*

Music:: Eurovision on Jonathan Ross
Mood:: 'relaxed' relaxed

Heh, I have decided never to again comment at LJ about the Place That Shall Not Speak Its Name. It is thoroughly ridiculous to me that it has people so up in arms, especially after reading a post on my flist this morning which brought home to me exactly what kind of real problems some of the people I care about are struggling with in their lives. It's a bloody blogging service! Perspective please, people!

And that's my last word on the matter (at least over here!). Sheesh.

Apart from that I am cranky and fed up. I called Vue cinema, but you cannot directly ring the local branch by phone! I had to talk to someone on the national enquiries line, who have to - get this - e-mail my local branch asking them if my purse has been handed in, then ask them to call me. To quote, "On a Saturday it might be several hours before they read the email." How bloody ridiculous is that? They cannot even call each other within the organisation!

So I am having coffee and feeding the kids, then we have to hop straight into town to see if it's been handed in because I'm buggered if I'm waiting for 'hours' for them to call. I am honestly, truly, not hopeful, which means I've probably lost a shitload of cash :-(

When I come home, I have work to do, so... won't be here much this weekend, sadly :-(

::hugs you tight:: Hope you have a spiffing day, and that the creative juices flow ♥

of love.

How bloody STUPID about the cinema! Oh man, well, I understand your need to get down there and see for yourself. I hope it's there, tbh, I'm reasonably hopeful, people are surprisingly decent on the whole, just depends whether it was found by a normal or a scumbag. Keeping it all crossed.

Ideas - are flowing like grink and cream soda on a fangirl weekend, it's finding the time to write it all down... Man. I don't know why I'm so busy. Compared to your own life mine is embarrassingly slack but I never seem to have a moment right now. After Blue, the garden is most urgent but the weather looks dodgy. The novel's cming on fine if slowly but today I needs must slip into my ficly hat and write that chapter of Blue. Not too irksome, its a quietly pleasant one mostly free of angst. The Big Hard one (oo er!) is the last one, next week, when all Hell has to break.

Sorry you have to work. I hope it all settles for you soon, sweetheart I really do. Sending hope and love. ♥

Good morning, sweetie!

Well, I stayed up way too late watching movies and now it's time to shower and go off for my shift at the Ren Faire. I am less than excited about that today :)

The Ren Faire sounds terribly fey and lovely; like a pair of iridescent, jewelled faerie's wings.

I'm assuming it's not? :o)

Ah, movies. I have four ::cough:: dl'd ::cough:: littering my HD that I should find time to watch but haven't yet. I love seeking out and dl'ing things but I rarely sit and watch them. It's a bizarre form of madness.

I'm up early (for once!) and puttering about on LJ, messing around with FireFox and setting things up. As soon as the coffee hits my brain I'm planning to polish up my final Moonridge story and hopefully send that off to its winner. And then I might write a bit or get started on betaing Blue. :-)

I have things to plant but I might wait until tomorrow... this afternoon I've got chat, and then we're off to see Star Trek tonight.

You sound busy but in a pleasant way. Have a lovely day and enjoy the film - I haven't seen it yet myself but am reliably informed by those that have that it's a stonker and that Simon Pegg is a joy. :o)

It's been storming since last night, so the internet has been off and the computer umplugged. Currently, we're between storms, so I'm taking advantage while I eat breakfast.

The dead mouse smell is better. And I'll probably pull everything out under the stairs and see if that's the origin of the problem.

I'm editing my Orgasm story to send to Caro, finishing up household chores,(since I couldn't get on the net this am, I've taken a good whack at getting them done), might go to a wake this evening in which case I will be making brownies and a pasta salad to take. I want to read through the last part of A Sea-Change for mistakes, so I can send it off to T for her usual excellent beta job. I'm also trying to upload stories to some of the other archives. And Fan Fiction Net has graphs -- graphs!-- of your story traffic and it has been strangely addictive to look at them.

I will probably edit some on Conforming to Requirements Podfic. And I figured out I can crotchet while I edit. Yay for another thing I can multi task. And watch a DVD of Angel or Due South and crotchet while I watch it. too. That afghan for my brother actually has a chance of getting done.

And I hope to go for a walk if the weather will allow it.

So, I'm going to be busy all day and half the night.

Enjoy your day!

Laurie

Well, I'm still sitting here, writing fic. At least the rain has stopped now; the birds are singing their wee hearts out out there.

You sound insanely busy! have a great day but remember to spare the horses.:o)

The Place That Dares Not Speak Its Name ...hee...

Thanks for the to-do list - it's very similar (except for the writing) to what awaits me should I decide to leave my bedroom this morning. ;o)

Hurrah for staying in bed all day! If more people did that the world would be a happier place.

Working on your beta (lol), maybe watching some X-Files, cross-stitching, hopefully working out a bit, maybe reading .... we'll see how the day progresses.

X Files, fantastic! It's been ages. I'm getting all excited about the idea of Gillian A as the Rani, that's practically making my head explode.

Hope your day went well!

Well, it's already late afternoon across The Pond, and I'm about to eat brunch. J's making a nice omelette with Gouda in it, and home fries. Yum!

I'm feeling pretty good this second day after chemo, so keep your fingers crossed it stays that way. *g*

I hope your day went well and that you have a lovely evening full of wine, olives and cheese! =>}

::hugs::

That was brave of you, listening to the Eurovision songs! There is no way on this planet we will win and neither will Sweden. I thought they'd sorted it out last year that no one other than an Eastern European country would win from now on as they all vote for each other?

It should be obligatory that Saturday mornings be lazy.
Definitely.
:o)

You be bad. :o)

Spain's entry is clearly designed to appeal to the Eastern Ear; very 'Moorish'
(ah ha ha ha! Bad Puns R Us!)

But seriously, our song is really tedious. Andrew LLoyd Webber - not a fan but honest to god, even he can do better than this. ::sigh::

That bad?
Oh, meep.
