The skies are black, it's dark as twilight out there, the wind is howling down the chimney and hail is spattering down, bouncing off the car out front. Methinks no running nor hiking nor gardening neither will be done today.

Hey ho; 2,629 words of TS fic have been written but still more to do. At least the pressure's off to leave the house. Still have a kitchen to clean though.

OMG! A mighty rain is roaring down, dripping off the gutters. It's gone so dark and quiet - all rather conducive to my chapter aamof. Back to me fic then. And tea. And biscuits.

ETA. Have tea, have biscuits, have put on thermal vest. Rain has eased now but wet out there, very!

I'm jealous. We're nearly through autumn and still no rain!

::sigh::

I suppose I could say the grass is greener or some such though I imagine our grass is much greener on account of all the sodding rain

Yeah yeah yeah - better than fires and all that I know but could it not hold off just for one day occasionally?! It's not so much the stuff falling from the skies that's so inconvenient as the deep, black ooze it occasions underfoot that depresses me..

Hey ho the nonny. I hope you get some rain soon, if that is what you wish. :o)

Let's see, grass — that's that green stuff that sometimes comes out of the ground, right? It's been so long since I've seen any that I've almost forgotten.

My paddocks are dusty and bare and my animals have nothing fresh to eat!

I'd definitely have trouble getting myself outside to run in heavy rain and black ooze, though!

Ack for rain. I managed to get back to the car before it started in York, but then it hammered it down all the way home!

Yay for fic though.
:o)

Didn't it just! Then turned sunny and bright. Typical yet bizarre, all at once.

Yesterday it was chucking it down, but lovely and sunny at the same time.
Isn't it a joy living in Britain?!
:o)

3,500 words in the end. I still need to read through and edit but it should be ready by tomorrow, I hope.
