Yes, I am still alive, I'm still on a push to finish the novel and consequently keeping my head mostly in the 'down' position. I may emerge eventually, I may yet write fic again, but for the time being, I'm trying to avoid the munificent distractions of internetly pleasures till this baby be birthed.

I, too, am just stopping for a quick cheesy bite and good strong coffee. Been alternately doing battle with the novel, the aged Pa and the washing line which has broken in the (OMG!Scary!) gales here but we have improvised. *g* There may be a picture of said improv later. But on with the work now, coming on fast now so I am in hope it'll soon be done. There's been a depressing amount of stuff to fix.

The winds are indeed mighty enough, if not to lay low the mountains of the Earth, then to lay low the whirligig and dash the washing into the stream. This has made me a tad irritable. ::nods::

Ah, the novel. 84,500 words, 56% done. I'm hoping to finish this 4th draft by the end of the week and declare it done. After 2 years, that will be something. :o)
