Is our neighbour's cat. His name is Drew. He spends a considerable amount of time in our house, sunning himself in our window, drinking our milk - warm, we warm it for him - eating cat food, which we buy for him, stealing our toast, attacking us, drawing blood.

He's not a very nice cat so why do we feed and water him, put up with is violent mood swings and afford him every home comfort at no small inconvenience to ourselves? I have no idea. We're not even cat people yet he seems to exert some strange hold on us, a feline Derren Brown, perhaps?

We've been hearing tales about this cat, how he'll 'eat you out of house and home' (we already knew), how he broke in through an open window and stole a roast chicken from another neighbour's kitchen. How his own family have had to put a child lock on their fridge because gets inside and eats everything in there.

He's a cutie. ;-)

You never own a cat, a cat owns you. He obviously likes staying with you, which is probably an honor.

The cat we had when I was a child would always take advantage of the balcony door being open all night in the summer and bring all his friends over for a late night snack. *g* "Come on, guys! Free kibble right along here."

Hahahahahaha! Oh, cool. *G*

I think what Drew likes about us is that we feed him.

What a handsome kitty! The pretty ones are almost exclusively evil.

I have never met such an unpleasant cat, but his evil makes me laugh and so we indulge him.

It's probably mind control of some sort, as well. :)

He's obviously got superpowers *G*. He's so handsome! You could not resist him - I'm feeling a strange urge to mail him cat food even as I type this . . .

LOL

He is a beautiful cat, but I cannot believe you actually let him in your house! Big mistake!

We had a lordling in our neighborhood that spent most of his time at other people's homes. He had stops for fresh shrimp at one house, a lovely expensive vintage MG to sleep in at another, a fishpond for a quick goldfish snack and various other various haunts throughout the neighborhood, but he convinced my parents he was meant to live with them and his former owners conceded. The big old white cat lived many years with my parents and yet continued to make his rounds for his little treats. They loved him dearly. He is still missed by all.

He looks quite comfortable. I would say Drew is contemplating a relocation to the GillyP household!

*snort*
