Oh poor you! I know how much you need a break. Sending many huggles XXXX

We have loads of snow here too - loads and loads. To the boys disgust their school is one of the ones still open, and I am posting this from work. It took me an hour and a half to drop them at school and get here on foot. The snow is still coming down, so getting us all home again will be a challenge, especially as I do not do well walking on uneven ground, let alone ice and snow.

This, of course, is unprecedented for Lancaster, and we canna take it, Captain! Looks exceedingly pretty, though :-)

Two feet here now and still falling O:! Looking at the Saddleworth webcams, we may be stuck for a few days yet. fuckfuckfuckfuck.

Stay safe and warm babe! Don't lose your bearings!

Bev, can you get a taxi? Whatever it costs, it'd be worth it for not risking your limbs trying to get home through all that lot.

Eh, sadly there is no way a taxi could get up our road right now. It wasn't gritted (neither were any of the roads around it apart from the A6) and there is packed ice everywhere, especially up the top end where I live. It's a bit dodgy underfoot but it's stopped snowing here now, so I'm sure we'll make it :-)

You're lucky, Chorley bleedn' council won't even grit the A6. Nothing but a bunch of bloody footpads. ::nods::

Oh bummer hon - you're supposed to get snowed in either in your own home or in a well-stocked country pub.

It does look exceedingly pretty though.

::sends warm hugs and hot chocolate::

I know, I know. ::sighs:: I have booze aplenty but we're out of crumpets and the mince pies are running low - but hot choccy. Now there's an idea...

Looks pretty much how things look here. I'm guessing cities and such aren't overly prepared for snow with plows and salt/sand trucks? Hopefully you can enjoy it despite the circumstances. It's as cold as here, if not colder!

Very snowy weather's not all that common here. The main roads are gritted and ploughed but not little local, village roads and they tend to snarl up on a snowflake. It's visibility that's causing a lot of problems with the traffic and planes I believe, it's coming down really heavily...

Visibility's the worst. It's the one thing you just can't make better. Kind of weird this is happening, because I just watched The Day After Tomorrow on the weekend. (I think that's what it's called)

Our smaller country roads are lower priority, so they aren't perfect, but they still get plowed, otherwise no one would be able to get out of their driveways.

Its not that bad round here - at least not in my neck of the woods but ... eyeing the sky nervously ... Got a two mile round trip to go and pick the boys up this pm, hopefully the snow will stay off until after then...

Hopefully tomorrow will be declared a snow day at school - supposed to be snowing all day ...

I hope it keeps away, it's crazy-mental here now. Stay warm and safe!

Oh dear, it's always difficult when you are stuck where you don't want to be.

We had snow in the wee early hours this morning. Nice to look at but not so nice to get about in.

Sending you positive vibes to cope with the family.

*Hugs and Chocolate*

It's still snowing. Will it ever stop? ::wibbles::

Stay safe and warm, honey!

Yeah, we have stacks of snow too. And the BBC said it was going to be a "light snow shower"! ::shakes fist in their direction::

Stay warm and safe. I hope it'll clear soon so you can head home.

Yup, they said it would be bad on Wednesday, we'd hoped to be safely home before it hit. I guess it got here a bit quicker than they were anticipating. :o)

Stay warm, sugar, you and your kitties.

Oh, it's worse now, much much worse. ::sigh::

I hope you're keeping safe and warm, too.

Oh no. It's still coming down here though it's due to stop about 3am! I believe it to be a giant pain in the proverbial. We've had enough snow now thank you. Enough I said!

There. Hope you get home safe and sound very very soon.

I'm assuming you're in much the same boat then? Thanks for the good wishes but we ain't going anywhere till they clear the roads which, knowing Barnsley Council, will be sometime in April. *g* Till then, we're staying in the closest proximity to m'Dad's fire.

The weather is certainly - something - in the UK right now, besides scenic. Good luck.

It sucks over here in Dublin, too. So I sympathise.

It's been crap to be stuck in the house all the time. Simultaneously, I have to go out tomorrow to get some meds for The Dad and I'm not looking forward to it. The main roads (I'm told) aren't too bad but the little roads getting to them are ungritted and dodgy...

Sounds much worse where you are, though. Mind yourself! ♥
