Tis with much squee that I announce that Richard Burgi is playing for the American team at the All Star Cup in South Wales this bank holiday weekend!!!
The tourny's at the Rider Cup course at The Celtic Manor Resort (the hotel's all booked up, folks - already checked!) near Newport - tickets are still available, though.
£5 for the Saturday practice (which sounds the most fun IMO) and £20 for the tournament days; Sunday 27th and Monday 28th.
The tournament website gives all the details, and the hotel site tells you how to get there.
alibongo and I are already booked into a nearby B&B; got our tickets and are good to go - is anyone gonna join us?

You know, we could always drop heavy hints about another really nice golf course up in the West Midlands if he fancied coming back in October... ::G::

I'm sure Rae would never notice the extra roomie!!!

How will he manage to concentrate on the game with you ladies sighing so loudly when it's his turn??!! :-D
Well, have fun and it cannot be stressed enough - PHOTOS!!!

I know what you mean! It's just so unfair. You, at least, are in the right hemisphere!
Rae tells me you are joining us in October! I can't wait to meet you.

for a change! You have them the rest of the year *g*
I'm really looking forward to meeting you too, and Gilly and a lot of other friends from LJ. It's a big deal for me as I've never met anyone in person yet, and it's also the first time I'm travelling completely on my own. I'm so looking forward to October!!!!!

It's still not settled. Right now, no plans, no money.
The job has settled down a bit more though, which is of the good.

Re: Richard in the UK
We'll have something to talk about to Garett in October.
I just noticed Christopher Judge is on the US team as well..........
Re: Richard in the UK
I have to be honest; I can't stand it. Normally, nothing would get me to stand on a windswept, rainy field (it's a bank holiday - you just KNOW the weather's gonna be ****) and watch people like Chris Evans and Brucie knock a ball around... But it's Richard!!!!! For that, I can take just about anything. And if the golf really does got too much, we can go and look at the Roman ruins. (o:
Oh man. It's been squee city here all day (o:
Re: Richard in the UK
But Richard AND Roman ruins in one weekend - where can life go after that................
I have to try and get Alice Cooper's autograph for said son as well, how scary is that going to be LOL!!
