Not only have the Dermocrats triumphed in the US elections, but Daniel Ortega is back as President of Nicaragua. Call me stunned! When did the world suddenly get so sensible? (o:

I hope your optimism isn't misplaced, at least in the US. I'm a die-hard Democrat, but sometimes I despair for my party...what with their lack of charisma and inability to read cue cards and all...

Oh, my pessimisim knows no bounds when it comes to politicians. You've only got to look at our current lot... ::despairs mightily::

But Dan-yel's victory cheered me no end. Talk about a comeback!
