Woe, woe and thrice woe

I know I've done a fair bit of moaning about my laptop lately - the damn thing's only a year old and has been failing at a terrific rate and yesterday, it got seriously nouty on my arse and, cut a long and terribly tragic story short, I've had to strip it all down, reinstall Windows and now it's working on the very barest bones of laptopedness; I'm having to re-install each application and prog, one at a time and test it thoroughly until it becomes apparent what's causing the trouble. Could be a clash of programs; could be a single infected somethingorother... who knows? Won't know till I hit trouble again.

Right now, all I have on here is IE and Word and all's well for the time being. I'm back in business my babies - it's been lonely without y'all.

::heaves sigh of relief::

Poor you! There are no woes as sad as laptop woes :-(

I will try to make the chat tonight - it all depends on how willing my kids are to go to bed, now the clocks have gone forward!

My woes are back thanks to bloody You Tube. I've fixed it, but - woe!!!

But thanks for the capacious clutching ::ooh. nice!:: At least I can write again, which is the maion thing. I'll just have to live without my daily YT fix, which saddens me, but there tis. )o:

You're back! - feeling much better in body (if not entirely in laptop), I hope?

::shivers on your behalf:: Reinstall Windows, and every other app on at a time -- ouch! There are no words adequate for that level of frustration. ...Well, there are, I guess, but they aren't notably polite. But if you have a browser and Word, the truly basic functions of life can continue, at least. WIP's and suchlike....

I am back, yup, thanks and yeah, I can write again, which is such a relief, but the source of the trouble being some forms of java is a worry. ::sigh::

Bloody technology. I think I'll go and live on an island.

Ack! I hate having to do stuff to my PC. I needs my precious to work.

I'm glad you managed to get yours up and running again - and glad you have the knowhow to do that. Good luck with it!
