Freak OUT!

I kid you not, writing has appeared, out of nowhere, on my bathroom wall - OK, it's kinda squiggly and I have no idea what, if anything (hey, maybe it's a winning lottery number?), it's trying to say, but  it most definitely wasn't there a couple of hours ago. I've racked my brains to work out some way it could've got there accidentally - you know, has something rubbed against the tiles...? But there's nothing. It's quite high - above my head height - on a wall that nothing routinely touches, and it appears to be in pencil.

Oh man. All I've done for the last twenty minutes is stare at it. It is so freaky. It is made of freak.

Yikes! It's not a spider's web-tracky thing or something like that?

Have you touched it?

"Yikes! It's not a spider's web-tracky thing or something like that?"
Definitely not. Uh huh. Nope. ::G::

"Have you touched it?"
Bizarrely, yes. I'm still trying to work out if something could have rubbed up against the tiles and made marks, but I honestly can't see how, or what...

It's a mystery.

Very strange!

Maybe you were carrying something and it rubbed on the wall?

I'm sure you've thought of that.

Maybe you were sleep walking? *g*

Ooooh, spooky...

Damn right!!!

This is seriously freaky. You got a photo? Are you or M. sleep-walkers? ;-)

You see, I obviously have not useful input to this except, perhaps, some sympathy. Deep breaths; after all, if it only occurs once it will stay just an odd, freakish thing, if it happens again, you'll likely find out what it is. Keep us posted.

Sleep walkers - no. lol! And it appeared around dinner time, Mark came down to tell me about it...

A photo, yup, I do, I've just got to photoshop it to a reasonable posting size and I'll stick it up.

If only it were a picture of the Virgin Mary, or said 'Allah' or something, i could sell the picture to the Daily Mail. ::sigh:: Heh heh.

I should have read this comment before I went on and commented on the photos. Now I know that Mark knew about it, anyway. Is he as freaked out as you are, or does he have a theory? Neighboring kids, handymen or guests plaining a trick on you or something? Cats who've learned how to hold a magic marker? Has somebody had a fit in the bathroom and thrown something at the wall of which the printing might have come off? ... This is really puzzling me, too, but you see I'm absolutely no help *g*.

You know, if this is actual writing, it looks more Arabic than Latin ;-)

No, to all your first paragraph suggestions. (o:

I showered before dinner, at around six thirty, it wasn't there then. Mark went up at about nine, came down and asked me if I'd been scribbling on the bathroom wall...

No handymen, guests, kids or neighbours around, just us two. It isn't Mark playing silly buggers - it's not his style and he's as mystified as I am.

Oh way to go; now I'm REALLY freaking!!!

RAOTFL!

You touched it; so, it doesn't rub off? Can you scratch a bit off with a fingernail (or maybe you don't want to try that...)?

[identity profile] gillyp.livejournal.com 2007-04-12 06:26 pm (UTC)(link)
I just had a go at rubbing/scratching it off. It's now darker and more apparently indelible than ever.

Moan... When I sell the house, I'll have to tell them it's the ghost-writing. ::G::

Ooh, freaky! As you said, but no other word seems to fit.

Can you call in a ghost buster and see if they have an explanation?
