Bank holiday squee

For 'tis May Day. Yes indeedy. A day off. A whole darn tootin' day to do as we please - and it's RAINING! Meaning I don't have to water the garden, nor am I guilted into having to go out there and do stuff like weeding and picking up the fallen honeysuckle arch or anything like that because - it's RAINING! YAY!

And  I've almost finished my book! 1,438 words finished the penultimate part; only the last little bit and an epilogue to do now.

And it's Jane Davitt's birthday!!!

Thanks for the congrats! Though this is only the first draft, which, hemingway quite rightly said, is always "shit".

But getting it this far is thrilling - there were points when I really thought I'd never get the thing finished.
