I was wondering about problems here in Germany, too. We had this kind of rain last night. Went to bed I couldn't believe it how long it had already rained like that, and three hours later, when I went for a potty break, it was still raining that way! But there was nothing on the news over here, so I assume it either wasn't as bad as it looked or the drains were somehow up to the task. It still was quite wet on the streets this morning, but I saw nothing that suggested actual flooding.

Glad you're okay, too!

It seems to have hit a swathe of the country; West Midlands to South Yorkshire. The problem has been mostly with rivers bursting their banks, but some roads around here have turned into raging rivers. It's such a tremendous volume of rain after a long dry spell and it's not soaking into the ground, just rolling over it.

I've never seen anything like it in this part of the country before. Very strange.

Glad you're OK!
