Easter Monday

Bank Holidays with added chocolate, how can this be improved upon? Answer, it can't, unless we're talking Christmas when there's the added bonus of tinsel and pressies. ::she nodded wisely::

I appear to have done nothing today that doesn't involve the internet and/or eating something of low nutritional value. Later there's some fine telly with a thing about Van Gogh, QI and Extras/Channel 4's Comedy Gala, I believe there are still some hot cross buns in the kitchen and, in short, it's Veg City here today, which is Good.

Have some Easter kisses my babies, they're dressed as bunnies and bring gifts of chocolate-coated luuurve. XXX

Go Cambridge!

YES!!!! ::does the victory shimmy::  The cox's all wet, a  river will do that. The brother of one of my bestest friends was Oxford cox in 1978 you know. Ah, boat race! I miss watching you with the crowd through the windows of Radio Rentals in the Harpur Centre, a delightfully collective experience, though the light blues rarely won back then.

Doctor Who tonight! And buttered crumpets! - I accept the latter might be a more personal experience.

I hope you're all having a gorgeous Easter weekend. It's fine and sunny, springlike and warm here in the blistered north (though there's still snow on the highest hills). The daffodils are finally out and there's the pleasing prospect of humongous amounts of chocolate and Jonathan Creek tomorrow. There are reasons to be glad.

Let lovely, smiley Brian Cox

Take you on a gorgeous ride across the Wonders of the f****** Solar System.  A delicious spoof , amusingly sweary and just the thing for April Fool's.

Giggle a bit and buck up, my lovelies, just one more day till the weekend, a massively extended Easter! weekend no less with  warm, buttered hot cross buns and simnel cake and unfeasable quantities of chocolate and new! Doctor Who and Jonathan Creek with Paul McGann!!!

Let us don our sightly-too-small laughing trousers and the comfy, stain'ed underpants of manifold-delights, cock a merry snook at the wind and the snow, ring out the bells and sing hosanna for the potential for joy be mighty indeed. ::nods wisely::

In short, yes, I have had something of a trying week but I am drawing a veil and contemplating a weekend of chocolate, resolving to be glad and - where have the location and music boxes gone* and why is it sunny and snowing at the same time?

*They're back! And I just had a go at that tempting little 'detect' facility and it says I'm in London. How amusingly eccentric is LJ? Answer, very.
