For a whole week this time, for the much needed, much postponed Housely-Renovations. We just donated a horrific £80 to Mr B and Mr Q for some very small pots of paint, two brushes, one roll of lining paper, some paste, a pack of dust sheets and a roll of masking tape in preparation for the Mighty Works that will hopefully take place over the next few days.

I shall keep you posted on our progress. (o:

I haven't forgotten that I owe some of you fic, I'm hoping to finally post some tonight. My feet just haven't touched the ground for the past 72 hours; it's been a bad, bad week.

Tonight we rest for yea and verily, we are most knackered. There is a mug of coffee and an iced bun before me, contemplating their fate (doomed).

So, is there anything on telly tonight? I feel in desperate need of a damn good laugh, 'deed I do

Ack - sorry things are so fraught for you hon - you want to borrow my big pokey stick?

Hope you can get a bit of time off from the salt mine over the weekend - have you tried hiding?

Heh. I have good, strong (twas the first thing I checked before I handed over the hard-earned) Aussie plonk that I shall start downing in approx 50 minutes.

Ah, the life, she is very FULL at the moment (and not in a good way) but I'm rather looking forward to finally tackling the house, lawd knos it needs it.

Have a wonderful weekend sugar, but keep out of Morrisons of you can, the hoardes of Hell have been let loose in there and it's every man and woman for themselves. ::nods with a look of concern::

You were right - Morrisons was pure hell. Full of incredibly angry, soggy holidaymakers in search of something or someone to sacrifice to the rain gods... I ran!

Happy weekend babe. ::squelch squelch::

So which room are you tackling now?

You have my sympathy Gerald has decided to tackle the Study this weekend, so not looking forward to it.

I am actually - looking forward to it, that is. I quite like decorating, getting the overalls on, stick radio 4 on and crashing on (it's all 'ons' with me). (o:

We're hoping to get the bedroom, study and sitting room finished and the garden tarted up before I leave for Alison's next week. If we can do more, so much the better but the kitchen needs much work, alas and I doubt if we'll get it done this time around - the worst is, it looks like we need a new back door. I loved the old stable-door so, but it's rotten through and through at the bottom opf the frame - it's like balsa wood and I doubt if it can be saved. )o:

So which room are you tackling now?
None. *g* I have me feet up, listening to PM, reading 'The brief history of the dead', drinking tea. Work starts tomorrow.

Oh, painting is such a chore, I do not envy you. I always love the way it looks after it's done, but I do not like the journey of getting there.

I really don't mind decorating, stick the radio on and paint away, it's very soothing, very Zen. It's the preparation I can't abide, shifting furniture, rolling carpets, washing everything with sugar soap And me, with this terrible pain in all the diodes down my left side...
