Woke to several more inches of the white stuff which is still descending madly from the skies.

Maybe tomorrow?

Oh dear, poor you! Glad you're staying home and safe and not risking it ♥

It has actually snowed here as well, maybe a couple of inches. This is unprecedented. We've never had snow like this since I've lived here! I am snapping pictures like mad :-)

We are having our Yule celebration today. My boys are very happy with their pressies, I am very happy with mine, and will be cooking a big roast shortly. Very snug and cozy it is, here!

Assuming the kids are able to travel for Christmas? They're going the same direction I am, are they not?

You sound cosy. We're off out in a bit to walk across the snowy wastes to Brinscall where hopefully Mr Londis can oblige us with provisions. We're alright for most things but we needs a top up in case we really are here for days and I want crumpets and I must have cream and a pudding in case we're trapped here. We have all the makings for the celebrations - all the stuff we were taking as our contribution, which fills 3 bags, but I must have my pudding.

We'll be fine if it comes to it, it's Dad and Hilary I'm worried about. H especially, she puts such store in Christmas and Dad can be so difficult. I hate to think of them alone there over Christmas. We'll do our best to get back but right now, it's not looking good.

Stay warm. ♥

Yep, I've been thinking that the kids might not be able to go. Not looking good at the moment - I'll have to speak to their dad.

I approve of pudding :-)

Lets hope it stops soon - its very, very cold over here but the snow, apart from the odd flake, has stopped and no more is forecast. The gritters have been and all the major roads up here are open and largely clear. Estate roads and minor roads are bad though.

Part of the family is coming down from Edinburgh on the day so hopefully they will make it...
