...In the house this morning - the final corker being the car battery which is flat as a very flat thing that's been run over by a steam roller. As is the battery charger! RAOTFL. A call to the AA is being made as I speak - no acupuncture for me today.
Ah well, I guess I'll just have to sit on my comfy sofa, well laden with cushions and drink tea and do some work on my book and the Roman fic. Such a shame, when I could have been lying on a couch in Bolton, being stuck with pins like a witch's dolly.
The Gods were truly against us today. I kinda felt all morning that we wouldn't be going, somehow. And what with the continuing hurricane out there, maybe it's just as well. I really wasn't looking forward to the drive across the moors in this weather.

Too cool for subject
And I, not at all being self-absorbed here ;-), am all for you continuing to write the Roman WIP. ::g::

Indeed!
Book forst, fic later. I have time for both today! Yay!
No, I'm not in pain, thanks. It's just ongoing treatment for chronic tiredness. It's working VERY well, thankfully. (o:

Such hardship...... :) It'll be good to have a lazy day to recharge. (And of course work on the Roman fic is always good*G*)
Pity you had to miss the acupuncture appt though, my parents both go (for various aches and pains) and they say it does wonders.

Yes, a flat car battery is a pretty annyoing thing but better it happened before you started than having your car dying while in the midst of your drive.
In a hurricane.
While driving across the moors.
*has flashing images of old black and white Edgar Wallace movies in her mind*
*g* The question is, *why* was the battery flat at all? Did you leave something turned on, is there some short-circuit that's sucking your battery empty while you're not looking or is it the dynamo that fails to provide energy to keep the battery filled up?

Hmmm. I see where you're coming from, though it's more Wuthering Heights than anything else up here. (o:
As per the battery; it's happened before. The AA man couldn't tell what happened either time, but we're starting to suspect the GPS unit. We've started disconnecting it, anyway, in the hope that solves the problem.
Oh me too. My mother rolls her eyes in a meaningful way and says; "it wasn't meant to be." ::G::
