Pearls of Markish Wisdom

Watching 'The Tudors', Anne Boleyn tells Princess Mary that 'all Spaniards should be at the bottom of the sea.'

Mark: "I don't know why they're all so shocked. It was the basis of our foreign policy for two hundred years."

There's a quiet wisdom in that, I feel. ::nods::

We went out for a walk on the moors this evening. Coming back, through the woods, I heard what I thought was a Nightingale; had a good listen and decided it was just a particularly talented Song Thrush. Mark is now calling all Thrushes a 'Fool's Nightingale'.

I love Tudor history! Endlessly fascinating stuff.

And you went out for a walk?! You must have far better weather than I've got - it's been pelting it down over here.

I think the basis of American foreign policy can be read in the prospectus sheets of Haliburton, Monsanto and Eli Lilly. It obviously bears no relationship to our Constitution any longer.

I love reading the history of the UK.

Just read Wind Whispering - a terrific AU that uses all the best aspects of each character. Loved the mental dialogue between Blair and Naomi. Will there be a sequel?
