The Richard Madeley Appreciation Society.

- But not if you, like me, are trying to work because you won't.

Btw, the same guy =  RichardMadeley on Twitter and well worth a follow.

Twitter have just destroyed the very reason most people enjoy using it. The net is, predictably, on fire. There's already a website about it.
You know, there's a saying, don't fix what ain't broke. LJ could use a dose of that maxim too.  And thus, a bad morning is made worse. ::Sigh:: Life, why must you try me so?

It's not going well. Graham Norton's bitch-fest is going down like a mug of cold baby sick and the winners? Dear blessed baby Jesus on a hovercraft. ::shakes head in sorrow and horror:: The Entertainment nominations = Friday Night Project, TV Burp, QI and X FACTOR wins? What the merry fuck are the judges on!? Blimey!

I'm informed some people not watching live don't wanna be spoiled, so here be the cut )

I know this because Jonathan Ross is twittering about it from his iphone, Jane, his wife is doing likewise from her Blackberry as they sit in the car together, queueing to get on the red carpet.

Meanwhile David Baddiel has just got back from visiting his wife's sister in Folkestone and Paul Daniels has a swan's nest in his back garden. Oh the glamorous lives of the rich and famous. *g*

ETA: LOL! Twitter is full of nominees Twittering and posting pix from the Baftas. I love it when successful people show they're every bit as sad and fannish as the rest of us poor plebs. *G*

I love Twitter ::laughing like a maniac::

And now I must set down my delicious coffee, a free sample from these people (who I needs must plug because their coffee is fantastic!) and venture forth to Botany Bay for compost to supplement my own rather wet and disastrous stuff, and perlite and pea sticks, French Marigolds, a quince and - gosh! All sorts of gardeny wonders, really. I'm thinking of trying a kiwi (didn't we use to call them Chinese Gooseberries? Like Sharon fruit, aka persimmons, a masterpiece of marketing, Kiwis, you done good there) and a fig this year, too. Yes, it's all excitement here.

I think I really should go and pay my TV License too, before the Beeb send the boys round. And then it's writing all day, pretty much - novel, coming on well after a characterly-glitch, I'm happy to say. Then there's the TS fic which is 3 chapters from complete but this particular chapter, being all about letters and angsty confessions and The Meaning Of Life O:! is taking its time. A difficult birth but I expect we'll get there in the end, she said bravely.

Right then, girding those loins. It's all HOT and sunny O:! out there. Could this be this 'Global Warming' one hears so much about?

arabwel asks Neil Gaiman: @neilhimself Does "A Study in Emerald" make you a fanfic author? :P

Gaiman replies: @arabwel no. It makes me a *Hugo Award Winning* fanfic author.

*G*

This pleases me on many levels.

Gotta love April 1st.

Can't wait to see what the Paxman comes up with tomight, and that cheeky crew at C4 news. If you're on Twitter and a newshound, you could do a lot worse than  follow Krishnan Guru Murty (krishgm) on Twitter - brilliant and funny insights into TV news (and they use an awful lot of Tweets on there - you might get quoted on the news. *g*). I also rec DowningStreet on Twitter, not at all what you might think.:o)

via Twitter.

Find your West Indian cricketer name; The US President when you were born + the last seaside town you visited* - makes me Eisenhower Southport. it works! *G*

The last west-country town you visited also works apparently. Eisenhower Tavistock. Even better!

AND! Your middle name + the name of park you played in as a child = theatrical actor's name to be used when booking hotels or in chatrooms. Valerie Bedford. Fantastic!
