panik: (Blessed news)

It's Saturday.

Fox 'News' continues to amuse with it's deranged absurdity.

and I have a new Aga! Lawks a lawdy, it's hot in here! It smells a bit funny at the moment but we're assured that will wear off in a few hours and in the meantime - omg! heating and hot water and cookery! and heating and - did I mention how bloody hot it is in here? I shall post a picture as soon as the camera stops playing silly buggers.

And Twitter for a Nobel Prize? and is it Saturday already? And will it ever stop raining? And look at Gaiman's library O:!

Do I ramble? I think I'm being affected by the unbearable heat. Where's Omid Djallili when you need him? Well, on YT of course.

I think I need coffee. Maybe some toast.

Oh, my. God. Gaiman's library just gave me goosebumps. Had to call The Husband and tell him that when we build our strawbale house, that is the room around which it will be built. Want. Want want want.

::looks around at double-booked bookshelves and random piles of books and sighs in a dissatisfied way::

It's nice, isn't it? Living in a 5 room cottage I have to make do as I can. There's never the room, you know?

Living in a 5 room cottage I have to make do as I can.

Ditto. Though my hallway has two bookcases crammed into it, so maybe that counts as a sixth room...

I don't have a hall. :o) Got lots of bookcases though (and more on the way O:!)

Good money provides a very nice setting for your books, does it not? :-)

Congrats on having a working Aga, too. The Aga saga has come to an end.

heh heh. Oh yea. Makes those creaky oak things of mine look a bit sad. otoh, in a 5 room cottage, you're a tad limited for the space. ::nods::

The Aga saga has come to an end.
I certainly hope so. Next up, tiles for the back of it and new doors upstairs so that we might finally be able to paint and then omg! new carpets. Please! *g*

Oh my... Gaiman's library makes me moan with envy. And how adorable that the man has 'How to Write Screenplays' books on his shelves. There's hope for us all *g*

[identity profile] gillyp.livejournal.com 2009-09-05 06:01 pm (UTC)(link)
It's a pretty special set of shelving and no mistake. I'll bet those didn't come from B&Q. ::nods assuredly::

How to write a screenplay - well - he's a novellist! He twitters that he's working on a short silent film. That must be it, then. :o)

Yay for the Aga! And OMG I want NG#s library - though I was delighted to spot quite a few books I already own, even the same editions!

[identity profile] gillyp.livejournal.com 2009-09-05 06:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Really? I haven't looked in that much detail yet (but I will). Few things could beat the excitement of seeing Jim Ellison reading the same edition of the Kerouac reader I had. ::nods::
