For the Lancashire County Council elections, in South Ribble, there were only two parties on the ballot, the Tories and the Idle Toads - and the Idle Toads won! by a substantial margin.

Lawdy law, that European ballot! Was everyone else's as HUGE as ours? Do that many parties even exist? Wow. It was rather refreshing, exciting even. I'm liking this air of Revolution, like it a lot. Which is to say, at least I didn't have to spoil my ballot this time. :o)

Vive la chardonnay revolution, say I ::waves fist in air in a rather half-hearted, embarrassed and English fashion:: Has anyone seen my copy of The New Statesman? I'm sure I left it lying around here somewhere. Under this plate of olives and the Pie D'Anglois perhaps...
